Har Builders Reality (M) Sdn Bhd (SSM No. 202501032077 (1633489-A)), formerly known as Har Builders Enterprise (SSM No. NS0067634-H) (collectively, "Har Builders", "we", "us" or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of visitors to our website, harbuilders.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

  • Contact form submissions. When you submit an enquiry or request a quote through our Site, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
  • Technical and usage data. Like most websites, our Site may automatically collect limited technical information such as your browser type, device type, and pages visited, typically through cookies or similar technologies, as described in Section 6 below.

We do not require you to create an account to use the Site, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as financial account details, health information, or government identification numbers) through the Site.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Communicate with you about our construction and renovation services;

We do not use contact form data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it to send unsolicited marketing communications unless you have separately consented to receive them.

4. Our Use of TikTok's Content Posting API and Meta's Graph API

As part of our marketing operations, Har Builders uses the TikTok Content Posting API and Meta's Graph API (covering Facebook and Instagram) to publish videos and photos of our own completed and ongoing construction and renovation projects to our own official social media accounts:

  • Instagram (Har Builders business account)
  • Facebook (Har Builders business page)
  • TikTok (Har Builders business account)

This integration is used exclusively to publish content that we own and produce ourselves — for example, project progress videos, before-and-after renovation footage, and completed project showcases captured by our team. The content originates from our internal project archives, not from any third party or end user of our Site.

Specifically:

  • We use these APIs to upload and schedule our own project media to our own connected Instagram, Facebook and TikTok Business accounts.
  • We do not use these APIs to read, collect, store, or otherwise access any personal data, content, follower lists, direct messages, or account information belonging to end users of TikTok, Instagram or Facebook.
  • We do not use these APIs to access, analyse, or process content or data belonging to visitors of our Site or to members of the public who are not our own authorised staff operating our business accounts.
  • Only authorised Har Builders personnel have access to the credentials and tokens used to connect to these platforms, and access tokens are stored securely and used solely for the publishing described above.
  • Any engagement data we may view (such as public view counts or likes on our own published posts) is aggregate, publicly available platform analytics about our own posts — it is not personal data collected from individual users.

In short: our use of the TikTok Content Posting API and Meta Graph API is limited to us publishing our own construction and renovation project content to our own social media accounts. It does not involve accessing, collecting, or storing any end user's personal social media data.

5. Sharing of Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With service providers who help us operate the Site or our business (for example, website hosting providers), under obligations to protect your data;
  • With TikTok and Meta strictly as required to operate the publishing integrations described in Section 4, which involves our own project content and account credentials — not your personal data submitted via our contact form;
  • Where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request from a Malaysian authority;
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Har Builders, our clients, or the public.

6. Cookies

Our Site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use the Site. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Site but will not prevent you from browsing our content or submitting a contact form.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data submitted through our contact form only for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for our internal records and legal compliance, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Project videos and photos used with the TikTok and Meta integrations described in Section 4 are published to our social media accounts and are not permanently stored on our servers after publishing; they are retained temporarily in our internal project archive for editing and re-publishing purposes.

8. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or our social media accounts (including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site or platform you visit.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Site and services are directed at businesses and adult consumers seeking construction and renovation services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
